Perfect
The room is big and tidy. Staffs are very friendly
Excellent staff. Thank you Vítor front desk (took his time to explain everything always with smile) and Azul dining room for your professionalism and help with all our stance at the hotel. Breakfast delicious. Worth it.
We had a lovely stay at Acta the Clover! As we’ve been travelling for over 2 months, a nice hotel was needed and this was more than we needed! It was stunning, and so much better to than any of the previous places we’ve stayed. The value for money was great too, as we weren’t too far from most things. Perfect place!
Really comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Convenient to restaurant and metro.
We loved staying here. We were in town for one night and decided to stay here. We were staying in Lisbon for the week and came here for one night. Great trip! The staff was amazing. The man at the front desk gave us a map of the city and gave us many suggestions for sightseeing and great places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable. I would come back and I would definitely recommend staying here.
The hotel was in a good area, the staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean and had a small fridge that lets you store drinks or food. If you were like us and rented a car, there is a parking garage 5 minutes walking (although the price for parking there were a bit expensive). Overall, nice stay.
Pro - Staff was friendly Con- Temperature cannot be adjusted in room. Room was very warm
Main train terminal and bus routes are so close by that I couldn’t ask for anything better. The location was ideal for our needs and the hotel security is very very good. My son and I felt safe there.
Up on the hill near Trinidad station. Good local restaurants in the area. Room is sizable and very clean. Real 4 star hotel
I really like this hotel. I think it’s new. Great locations, clean, water pressure in the bathroom is better than my house 😆 our room has balcony. Overall highly recommended and will definitely come back here.
Good hotel
The hotel was extremely clean and very spacious rooms. It was located in a wonderful area, 25minutes walk to the centre and easily accessible via public transport. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, and the passionfruit mojitos were delicious. Would definitely recommend.
The breakfast here was really good! Great option to stay at this hotel. 2 blocks away from Sta. Catarina Street for lots of shopping. Great staff, great rooms.
My stay could not have been any better. The front desk staff were friendly professional and eager to answer any of questions about the city. I was so impressed I am coming back next week for 2 more nites
Clean and nice but small rooms.
Clean and simple, super friendly.
Clean, simple. Great location in the city near transport hubs. What made it excellent was the helpful desk staff.
City break
Great hotel - perfect for a 4 night city break with friends. Loved it!
Place where you want to spend a good night.
Over all I am very happy with hotel roomsize, cleaniness and extra coffee machine with nice coffee. Kettle for teas and hot drinks you can made. Very convince to metro in 2 minutes. Secure separate entrance to your room from lobby. Love this hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful (even tucked in our little stuffed toys when cleaning the room too). Area is a bit a way from the central touristy stuff but walkable if you don't mind a steep climb back to the hotel.
All in all it’s a great hotel option in Porto, just could’ve been cleaner and the shower temperature fluctuates so it burns hot.
Very roomy hotel
The hotel was new and clean. The location was close to Metro and convenience. The room was very roomy and comfortable.
We had a lovely four night stay at this property. The front desk staff were excellent and helpful in every way especially with directions and restaurant recommendations. The day we checked out we were taking the train to Coimbra and they heard me expressing concerns about having to change trains after 4 minutes with our luggage with only 8 minutes to catch the next train. They asked to see our train tickets and recommended we go right to the second train station. The cost of the Uber was identical and if they had not given us that recommendation, it is likely we would not have been able to change trains in time. They had a restaurant on site that we didn’t end up using that it looks like a great option for breakfast or a meal in the evening if you didn’t want to venture out. Our room was well appointed and spacious. We found the location to be excellent and central forgetting to tours we had booked and to the main street for restaurants and walking. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again if we were back in Porto!
Great stay, comfortable, clean and modern good location
The hotel is very close to the train station, and shopping district. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They give us suggestions of places to eat and visit. They even booked 4 of the sightseeing tours. The rooms were large and very clean. I would definitely return back to Acta the Clover if ever I’m back in Porto.
Short walk to the center, friendly staff
Great location. Quiet at night so slept well. Lovely staff.
We loved everything about our stay, but the number one thing was the incredible service. Vittor, you are outstanding
I liked nothing
Very clean and comfortable, convenient location. Everything you need
The hotel was clean. The breakfast was delicious. And the little balcony was lovely. Staff had beautiful smiles and were helpful, but check out was slow (not sure why it took two people to check out each guest). But I would certainly stay their again.
No issues. Would recommend
Nice location and a clean room. Good value for the money
Lovely hotel. Staff was pleasant from check in to check out. Rooms were quite spacious. Had slippers and decent amenities like soap bar and Nespresso. Only downside was there was no daily water replacement. I was at a 3 star in Barcelona prior to this and they provided a daily bottle of water during my stay. Overall nice and simple.
The hotel is clean, well kept, the bed size listed as a double bed is a generous size and felt a little larger than a north American queen sized bed. The roof top bar patio was a very nice surprise. The hotel was within walking distance to the downtown core but offered the quietness of being away from crowds.
Great location and fabulous breakfast
The location was good
About a 10 minute walk to market and 20-25 minutes to waterfront
Hotel was nice. It was a bit far out of the town centre but that was my fault in booking.
I liked it!
The hotel itself was pretty good, it was clean and the staff was always helpful and very nice. There was a fridge, a kettle, a coffee maker, and a safe, all of which we really appreciated. It was a touch outside the busy/tourist area/downtown core, but as long as walking isn't an issue, you can get down to the waterfront in about 30 minutes. Overall it was a good experience for the first hotel of our 2 week trip.
Great Location and Nice Accomodations
The A/C not working properly put a huge damper on our stay and comfort. Not only while being in our room but not getting enough sleep from the room being so hot, we were exhausted for the rest of the day every day we spent in Porto. Also, being on the first floor, we could not open our window (not to say we had a view of anything interesting to look at but to get some fresh air to relieve us from our night-sweats). mainly due to security concerns. However, the room itself was nice and the Nespresso machine was a major plus. Also the staff were friendly and helpful.
Really nice staff, though they mixed up a tour so I ended up with a $400 tour on my last day that I did not request. Also the AC was a huge pain since it's centrally controlled. Otherise nice, clean hotel, ok location, and a lovely rooftop. Would not stay again due to the AC issue.
Loved it from the moment we walked in. Also loved the rooftop sitting areas and bar. The Front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful when we asked questions and/or directions. We would definitely return.
Pretty good.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel. The room was a good size and the breakfast was good. The service was always friendly. My stay would have been even better had there been a proper table in the room so that I could work comfortably.
Staffs are warm and very helpful. The hotel looks new and clean. We felt very comfortable during our stay. Thanks the amazing staffs. However, my room is facing to the street which is really noisy. If you are someone could not get sleep easily, you need to find another option, especially during weekend. The air conditioning is really bad. You can’t imagine the air con will turn off by itself around every hour. I believe I am not the only one experiencing it as you can see similar comment from other guests. I hope it is not the strategy the hotel management wanna safe cost….. Besides noisy and poor air conditioning, all good. Thank you.
Property has modern amenities and the check in check out was smooth
Nice, clean and quiet hotel…the only thing I disliked was that you can not control the AC in your room.
Good option, good location!
Good hotel, and well located. There is no parking lot, but there are parking spaces nearby that are easy to find, for a fee. The reception was OK, the staff OK, the room was good, of a normal size, and the bathroom was good. The problem was the air conditioning, which was turned off at night, and you had to call reception every time to turn it back on.
In general good spotted for stay
Small but clean and pleasant. Air conditioning was an issue since it kept turning itself off in the night when we needed it.
I LOVED this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, clean, modern, comfortable, complimentary slippers. Lots of room. I would stay here again and I would recommend.
Porto!
Feels like a new hotel. Room was small but beds were excellent. The hotel was quite a ways from Ribiero Square but Bolt rideshare was super cheap… $5 or less. AC: didnt know how to adjust on our own…so was a little warm. Shower foesnt have doors or curtain so a little messy. Staff was very friendly. They have breakfast for $14 but there are options closeby.
Great stay
Perfect location
Great hotel. Lovely comfy bed and clean rooms. Right next to the metro station and easy walking distance to lots of Porto's main attractions (if you don't mind hills!) Location perfect for immersing yourself into Porto life and not being stuck in tourist traps. Staff all incredibly friendly and helpful and ensured we had everything we needed Rooftop bar is a beautiful added bonus! We will definitely stay again.
Lovely stay
Lovely stay. Nothing to fault. Had a city view room with balcony. Rooftop area very nice. Would recommend and stay again. Useful luggage lockers if you need to use.
The staff were excellent.
Less than informed staff that offered little or no information about the neighborhood
Superb hotel with magnificent staff.
The hotel is i think about a year old.it is clean spacious comfy good bed shower and modern television. My room had a back view so not scenic but the hotel has a 7th floor terracw with a super view.the breakfast was super plenty of choice in a lovely spacious room.location wise t15 min walk to the tourist areas downhill.porto is very hilly so coming back uphill can be tiring but public transport good and i saw a car rental opposite.the starscof the show are the staff on reception and in the breakfast room and evening drinks .so helpful kind patient and seemed so happy to help a real credit to the hotel.i am elderly and single traveller i was made to feel so very welcome thankyou. A super hotel well worth a stay at a great price porto by the way is super too Portuguese people are so friendly and welcoming. A great 5 nights.
Nice hotel a little outside the main part of Porto, around a 40 minute downhill walk to Cais De Ribeira, there are plenty of restraunts within 10 minute walk of the hotel.
Staff is so friendly. Feels as if second home.
This is a good hotel I would recommend it with one caveat: the Air Conditioning, cooling is sometimes controlled by the front desk that was the only thing. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The room was great to sleep, very dark and quiet. And staff people were very kind and friendly. I love to walk so distance was fine, but probably for some people is further than a regular walk.
Staff was Very Good. Especially Barbara at the front desk.
The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly, helpful and efficient.
Fantastic stay, Front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Great location
Everything was great apart from aircon would stay on for only an hour at most before you needed to turn on again.
Very reasonable price Great staff and fantastic storage of luggage Near Trinidade metro stop but a little walk (10-15 minutes) from major tourist spots Note there are few restaurants in the neighborhood
Very nice size room Great bathroom great storage c uggsge
Friendly staff. Central location. Airconditioning was not functioning when we arrived. Staff did their utmost to fix the problem, which they finally managed in the evening.
Great hotel
Really great hotel. A 10 min walk into the centre
The rooftop lounge area was an unexpected bonus
Breakfast, cleanliness, free coffee/tee in the room, service, friendly and responsive staff, despite to help and other small things.
Nice hotel, close to city center, good service desk, very helpful personal.
Couldn't sleep
Nice, clean, modern hotel. Close to the central metro station - so great link to the airport. Fantastic luggage storage facilities with coded lockers. Friendly staff. However did not sleep well due to constant vibration of the windows. Tried to leave open to alleviate - but nothing helped. Also booked a twin room and was given a double.
Overall the stay was amazing. No hiccups or problems. However, if booking on Expedia make sure at the hotel they are offering the same price as the price you reserved on Expedia. As I was quoted 5 night for £265, got to the hotel and they charged me £309. I was too tired to ask so just went with it. The other thing is the mini bar. On my first day it was stocked with Pringles, water, soft drinks. Little did I know that these were to pay for, so everytime the maid cleaned my roomed and re stocked the minibar, this was racking up a bill. So just watch for that. The location is okay if you don’t mind walking, however this hotel isn’t for you if you do. It’s all the way at the top of Porto so to get back you have to walk up hill (which didn’t bother us) but just a warning as some days it was annoying. And I was on the 6th floor, couldn’t have the windows open at night because of how loud the road was outside, which became frustrating as at this time of year the air conditioning units don’t work (was told this by a member of staff) Other than that. No complaints really.
Great hotel - everything you require is provided, excellent air-conditioning and great staff. Great location being 5 min walking downhill distance from the main shopping street Rue Santa Caterina. Recommended.
Outstanding value
Functional Hotel
Functional, modern, clean, value hotel. Area not the most attractive, but would be happy to return for a short stay.
Very nice hotel. Staff were great at the front desk
Sergio and the team were very helpful! Great location, walking distance to the downtown! Will stay again.
Cleaning needs attention at this hotel
The office is great, a little on the noisy side with the cobble roads. The hotel is good but cleaning need a bit of attention. I mentionner to the front desk at three occasions the the walk was not clean at our arrival.
MARAVILHOSA! Hotel maravilhoso, atendimento ótimo, localização ótima, quarto ótimo, café da manhã ótimo! Sempre que voltarmos ao Porto ficaremos lá! Fantástico hotel.
Great location close to walking distance (within 20 mins mostly) from main attractions. Easy access to train stations. Only complaint is that the rooms are set to heat in winter and cannot be changed. Had to open window to cool the room down but since the hotel was next to a road the noise was loud.
