Great stay, convenient location, friendly staff

Acacia Mansion Hotel was an easy 5 minute walk to the Hippodrome and access to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace and trams. Plenty of shopping and dining options in the streets around and even though I was a lone female I felt perfectly comfortable walking home at night.

This property is in an excellent location and affordable cost but the best part is the amazing staff that runs the hotel. Omer at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. He went out of his way to make our experience a memorable one. Also the restaurant and breakfast staff was very kind and prepare a delicious and abundant Turkish style breakfast every day. This was our very first time in Istanbul and Omer and the hotel staff made us feel like we were part of the family. We really look forward to our next visit to Istanbul and will definitely stay at Acacia Mansion Hotel again.

Beautiful architecture

Had a great 2 night stay. Less than 10min walk from blu Mosque and nearby Hagia Sophia. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were really cozy and clean. Would definitely stay here again. One thing to note about the neighbourhood around Sultanahmet in general is that the streets are very hilly, cobblestone covered and sidewalks are either about 12" wide or not there. So just something to be aware of if youre planning to drag heavy luggage from public transit.

I had an exceptional stay at the Acacia Mansion Hotel. The hotel is very equipped and rooms are quiet. The breakfast is second to none. Omer, the receptionist was very friendly and kind. Thank you for everything.

Good and central place

The property is very well located, and clean. The room is ample, as is the bathroom. We were particularly impressed by Omer, who greeted us when we arrived and went above, and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He was truly amazing! We will certainly come back when we return to Turkey.

Very helpful staff

Wonderful base for exploring Istanbul

This is perhaps my favourite place to stay in Istanbul. I had a delightful room with a balcony. A special mention to Omar who could not be more helpful.

Customer Service

The location was in the old section and close to the tourist attractions. The rooms were clean, air conditioning was a big plus, breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. I interacted a lot with Ömar who was exceptional. When I asked for assistance, without hesitation Ömar provided options without bias. There was zero pressure to select any option. He tactfully and professionally provided the pros and cons of each option and would always say, “it’s your choice”. If it was a reservation he would ask if I wanted the reservation made now or when I came back from my walk. Je always followed up. I saw the same unbiased interaction with the other guests. I feel Ömar inherently knows that providing balance in answering questions is good for the long term profitability of the business, especially in the highly sensitive tourist industry. He certainly helped solidify my impression of the hotel.

Property as pictured, great central location that is easily walkable to many main tourist sites

Stayed here for 4 days. It’s in a great location, the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia mosque, basilica cistern, and the metro was a 10 minute walk. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Our room was facing directly to the streets and I didn’t think it was noisy, you did hear some music and people who were at the restaurant downstairs. The staff was very nice and helpfull. There is a good coffee shop next door. I had an excellent stay

I will not be back

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very kind and adjusted to my needs. 24/7 desk service was very useful. There were a few things I didn't like which were the fact that the door lock did not work, even though I chose not to complain since I was only there for 2 nights but I'm sure they would have changed my rooms. Another thing was that the walls were very thin, I woke up at 3 am with the sound of footsteps. Lastly, the window from the room I was staying in was a staff area just by the kitchen and I could hear them even when the window was closed. Other than that the cleanliness was good and so was the service. Very kind staff

We had a lovely stay in Acacia Mansion. Staff were very nice, very attentive to our needs. Cleanliness is outstanding. Even though is a bit far (10 mins walk) from metro transport you can walk almost everywhere to main places to visit in the city.

Very basic and not what I was expecting, be prepared for a uphill walk to all the sights

Great hotel on very noisy street

Very friendly staff, great, clean room, but there's one suffucient issue - it's very noisy inside the room. Hotel located on busy street with non-stop traffic, plus there's a restaurant on the first floor with local music playing loud till ~23:00. Walls/windows are not sound proof, so you will hear everything, whether you like it or not. Icing on the cake - 6 in the morning and mullah starts call to prayers from nearby mosque, you will hear it too. We booked stay with breakfasts - I would rate them 7/10.

Properties without lifts, and barely adequate staircases are difficult for the traveler. This was one of those properties.

Small family hotel, budget friendly and walking distance to all touristic areas

My sisters and I stayed in this beautiful boutique hotel for two nights. The red building is so adorable, the most beautiful in the area. Room is clean, breakfast is fresh and nutritious with plenty of variety. Staff is friendly and courteous. The location is PERFECT for walking to all major attractions and the ocean. We wanted to stay two more nights but they are sold out. Will definitely recommend Acacia Mansion to all our friends. Thank you for making our first visit to Turkey so lovely.

We had a wonderful stay at Acacia Mansion Hotel. Shukur and Veli at the front desk were very helpful since the day we checked in. They are very attentive to the guests and always happy to help. Breakfast had wide selection of food and beverages. Efrey took good care of us during breakfast. Also, it was lovely to meet Burok towards the end of the trip who offered to mail our postcards to family back home. Location of the hotel is perfect! We were easily able to walk to Sultanahmet and Hagia Sofia. Highly recommend this hotel for future Istanbul trip to make it fun and memorable.

This hotel was very close to the most famous historical sites in Istanbul. Our host,Veli,was super helpful and very kind, offering us tea and Turkish andy upon our arrival. He made us feel at home.

Home away from home

It felt like we were staying with family. Ebru helped us book our hotel transfer and gave us great tips for seeing the sites. She checked on us the mornings she worked. She also arranged for a laundry service for us. The hotel was very clean. It was very close to the sites we wanted to see. Lots of restaurants and even convenience stores around to make sure we were well fed and hydrated.

Nice location with friendly helpful staff

Location was excellent, short walk away from Blue Mosque. Lots of restaurants nearby. A little pricey. Breakfast was ok for some, but mostly cold platters with vegetables, meats and cheese. No fruit or yogurt.

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. The location is great and it is walking distance to shops, dining, and main attractions. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Yusuf and Shukur were always helpful and gave us great travel tips. We will be staying here again!

Consider another Room

Location was perfect. Room was at street level so we heard traffic, noise, and horns all day. We chose not to change rooms because it subsided at night. Also, because we had a room with a table and chairs and plenty of room to spread out. Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful.

We had a pleasant stay, the property is very traditional and walkable to the main tourist attractions. The staff was available 24/7, always there to help you if needed and Shukur was great.

This hotel was very clean and everyone that worked there was very nice. Raulf was very kind and made sure everything was great for me after a bad experience at a previous hotel. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe there.

Meraviglioso piccolo hotel a pochi minuti a piedi dai principali monumenti ( Ayasofia, Moschea Blu, Basilica Cisterna, Gran Bazar..etc..) Ottimo punto di partenza per esplorare la città, la fermata della Metro Tranvia T1 è a 10min a piedi. Hotel ben tenuto e pulito con personale molto gentile

Great hotel

The best part of the hotel is of course the location. It is so accessible to the main tourist spots of the city. A very safe area. Also, special mention goes to our concierge, Mr. Rauf, he was so nice, friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience

Very nice staff, great Turkish breakfast included. Good little cation too. Room was small but, for us the main problem was the noise because we were next to the kitchen where dishwshing and prep started very early.

This hotel was a good choice for Istanbul. Front desk reception, Rauf, was an amazing help in faciliating many of the activities and recommendations. Walking distance to the main great mosques, plus to the shopping, dining and transport center. Will visit again for sure

Great location - 5min walk to Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet square. The staff was great. Argesh and the other staff member (didn’t catch his name) helped us and answered all of our questions. Great stay.

Really fantastic stay for 3 nights in early Feb 23. Very friendly staff especially Rauf at front desk. Took care of everything. Hotel is a few streets away from the two beautiful mosques but be aware that it's an uphill walk and can get a little annoying. Their are lots of restaurants, cafes and stores just outside the hotel so that makes up for the walk. It's a busy little street and can noisy with the cars outside. Overall and excellent property and service.

We had a great stay for 4 nights. We were in a 3 person room. The staff was so helpful and friendly and wanting to help in anyway to improve our stay. The breakfast was very nice and the room was comfortable and clean.

Excellent location for tourist. Easy connections to tram service. Excellent breakfast. Excellent Turkish style accommodation. It can take around 70 minutes from SAW airport during busy time.

The holster is small, cozy, with friendly stuff, delicious breakfast, excellent location. You feel there as a guest, not as a client.

Overall experience at the hotel was great! Argesh and Kadir were super friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I booked an Istanbul day tour through them and it went very smoothly, as did the shuttle to the airport when I had to leave. The stay was very comfortable, and the included breakfast buffet was nice. The location was very convenient as most things in the sultanahmet area are within walking distance.

I booked this hotel for my mom who was staying in Istanbul for a few days on her way to the US. The staff was very welcoming and so considerate of her needs and the language barrier. I truly appreciate the patience, hospitality and attention to the their guests’ needs! Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was nice and full of choices. The hotel’s location has definitely lots to offer so I would definitely recommend staying there.

You Won't be disappointed!

The location of the hotel is very well situated in old town. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and all locations are within walking distance from the hotel. The room was great and cleaned daily, very roomy. The breakfast was great. The hotel staff was "BEYOND AMAZING!!" Argesh Argesh was just amazing from booking our car to the airport to making sure our stay was great! I will highly recommend here!

Dishonest management

Hotel charged us 250lira for the parking to be paid to parking across the street whereas the parking across the street actually charge 150-200lira so 50-100lira went straight to whoever was working at reception. Make sure, you pay the parking fee directly to parking people across street and not pay through hotel. Also, AC was super loud and bed was way too small.

The staff was excellent. They met all of my needs and we’re always available. In the dining room, there was always an attendant to help with the breakfast buffet, which was also delicious and varied each day. My room is cleaned every day and I received clean towels. Everyone was welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I don’t know how to say next or continu bac

Nice boutique hotel, super close walk to Hagia Sofia, etc. I basically walked out the door each morning and did all my sight seeing on foot. Nice to have a place to walk back to for a quick rest during the day, or flop right into bed after a long day of sightseeing. Nice little restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity. Relatively quiet at night despite being so closely located to tourist attractions. Very nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff (I recommend the airport transfer service too), and nice updated rooms. Good value for money.

The staff was incredibly warm and went out of their way to make sure questions were answered. The breakfast was amazing-the epitome of a healthy, colorful and filing Turkish breakfast. Excellent location for site seeing, very walkable and close to many dining options.

Our stay at the Acacia Mansion was excellent. We Stayed 10 nights. Muhammed the manager and his team took care of everything for us from airport pickup and transfer back. This Hotel is wonderful you will come as a guest and leave as a friend.

We stayed there for two nights. Our flight landed early morning but the hotel check-in was at 2 pm. Ben made our waiting comfortable and we were able to check-in at 11 am. Mohammad and Ben were very friendly, helped us with direction, PCR, and Taxi. The hotel was cozy, bit small but clean and well kept. Our room was very comfortable and very quiet. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

We stayed at Acacia Mansion hotel for 4 nights. The hotel location is perfect, it is only a few minuites walk away from famous Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The room was maintained well, it was a good size and it was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was okay but it could defintely do with more cooked warm food options. I really want to express my gratitude to Mohammed, Ben and Kamuran. They delivered a great service. They were always there to help and would make sure we felt welcomed. Would definitely stay again.

Exceptionally Accommodating Staff

Besides the nice, clean, and cool ambiance room we stayed in, the hotel staff simply went above and beyond to make our first visit to Turkey unforgettable. We arrived and were initially checked in by Mohammad who showed us to our room and (when we were ready) spent at least 30 minutes with us detailing a map of the area and some "must see" sights. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance and other areas were accessible via the tram/tramvai (so besides to/from airport, we did not use cabs). The included breakfast was great too. Additionally, what made our personal experience so unique is Mohammad's ability to help us plan and arrange the next itinerary of our trip. We had already planned to leave Istanbul for Cappadosia region before arriving at Acacia Mansion, but besides booking a Cave Hotel there, we had no tours no flight and no airport transportation arranged. So at my request, while we were out touring Istanbul, Mohammad put together an itinerary for me to review and sign off on for our Cappadosia stay (tours, flight, transportation). The cost was very appropriate, and everything went really smooth. Outstanding! We even got to ride a hot air balloon in Cappadosia which I'll never forget! Highly recommend booking a room here - the rest of the staff are just as helpful and accommodating to your needs if you express the desire. They spoke good English and Russian besides their own language of Turkish. Cheers!!

Clean, comfortable, and cosy

Everything was excellent, good location, close to the main attractions in the city, a very good breakfast buffet clean room and bathroom with all the toiletries provided, and the best was the staff, specially Muhammad in the reception who helped me a lot with all the information and book a private shuttle to the Airport at a very good price. I really appreciate his help. I really recommend this place.

Rooms are kind of small, but this hotel offers excellent service, breakfast. Clean and tidy. Welcoming personnel. Walking distance to historic sites, Grand Bazar and many other. This is a great bargain. Mohammed is extremely helpful. He helped with any of our requests: taxi, airport shuttle, PCR test, eateries. Definitely recommend this place.

August 2021 Istanbul, Acacia Mansion Hotel

Our stay in this hotel was extremely good, we did like everything, the location is great, the breakfast is substantial and rather varied, the room is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, they tried to give us all necessary details related to our staying in Istanbul (e.g. Mohammad even called museums to give us up-to-date information and advised us to visit some interesting places). We would recommend to stay at this hotel if you are going to visit Istanbul.
