The hotel is just old and worn down a bit inside. The pictures make the room look nicer than it is. Not hygienic. Found a small roach on the desk. No major problems though.

This hotel is huge. The room was very spacious, and the gym is the best we’ve had so far. Staff is helpful.

1. Location is good, Air-conditioner, wifi, Lux are also good performance. 2. Other facility is bad. TV is mulfunctioned, no windowroom is not good for psycology. 3. Reception desk is kind. Therefore, this hotel is not bad and not good compare with cost.

I don't understand the bad reviews. Room was very clean, water pressure was great, bed very comfy. It only looks and feel dated but it's actually charming. Will stay again if i need a one day stay before my flight in danang airport

Breakfast food was served again from previous days. The woman chef wasn't friendly. The food was ok. The staff should have used fresh food to serve breakfast.

We chose this hotel because it was walking distance from the dragon bridge, restaurants and night market. The room had everything we needed and bed was comfortable. Staff was also helpful.

Location is near international airport which is very convenient. About 15 to 20 min walk to Dragon bridge to see the fire show. Many food and restaurants nearby. Hotel got daily buffet breakfast with variety of food to choose. Got roof top swimming pool and gym. Got massage as well. All in one convenient place. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Helped me to arrange local tours with tour agency. It is not enough to express how good it is. So highly recommended to all travelers to try out this hotel.in Da Nang. I will come back again for holiday when I am free.

Samdi Hotel is ultra convenient to the airport , i could have walked The hotel has the feel off faded glory days , no operational bars , but a really good Vietnamese breakfast. My VIP room overlooked the lake , it was large , clean and i liked it. Staff were super friendly to me Samdi is in an authentic Da Dang neighborhood with few tourist , and secret location for Ca Phe Civet , Drop Coffee

Affordable for one nights stay

The only reason we chose this hotel is because it was in walking distance to the Da Nang Airport and we only needed to stay one night. It was also reasonable cheap for one nights accommodation.

Great location if you want to be close to Da nang airport and walking distance to dragon Bridge. The staff are helpful. The breakfast buffet is more suitable for oriental tastes, although, i enjoyed the fruit selection and the chef was kind enough to make me a delicious omelet. This facility has a lot of little touches, like bath robes for him and her, a bar fridge with beer which is an add on price. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed with a nice shower and lots of hot water.

The main reason I booked this hotel was for a ride to the airport, but the airport shuttle only runs at 10 and 2. The rooms are also very poorly insulated. I was woken up many times by people speaking in normal volumes in the hallway. Not very friendly staff.

Really Nice Place Close to the Airport!

Nice place with old school style of heavy wood and marble used throughout. One might say it needs a facelift, but actually the fact that the place is very clean and everything still looks new means they do a good job taking care of the place. I stayed here for a week in January during Tet. The premise was very quiet and I was the only person eating the breakfast buffet every morning which felt a bit strange. But regardless, all the staff were kind and courteous from beginning to end. My husband and I had to work from our laptops every day so we needed a lot of space. I booked the largest suite available and it worked for us. Price wise it was excellent value for that you get! The very top floor has a beautiful pool with views overlooking the entire city of DaNang. I'm sure a very long time ago royalty would have stayed here. It has that 'old cinema' feel from the Golden Era. It's a really nice place and super close to the airport. If you only have a small suitcase, just walk and save on taxi fare. :)

One night stopover-wish it was more

This Hotel exceeded all expectations, WE had booked a room with no window and had been given an upgraded to a room with a window and a view of the river and bridges at night was an added bonus. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner and breakfast, as we were only there less than 24 hours we didn't get to use all the facilities that were all clean and well maintain. A secure motel with entry to floors by lift uses an unmarked room card, wonderful service from the moment we got out of the "Grab" car (Uber) greeted with a lovely cold drink in the foyer whilst we checked in. Our breakfast was a delight with a lovely chat with Ni who had visited Perth, Australia in December and we shared how much we enjoyed each others country, hoping she will take up our offer of our hospitality when she visits Sydney. We had a fabulous stay for the short time we were there. If we travel to Vietnam again we will definitely book into this wonderful Hotel.

Da Nang

Upgraded our room for free, the gym was better-than-expected however out of the 10 or so pieces of cardio equipment only two consoles were working so they need to upgrade that but as far as the machines go they were great. I had free pick up from the airport which was nice and complimentary drink and cake upon arrival. Outstanding customer service and breakfast was good for a westerner.

Value for money hotel with excellent staff

I spent three nights in Da Nang and I think we made the right choice to have stayed in Samdi hotel. The hotel is very close to the airport and have many eateries and cafes nearby. The rooms are new and clean. The indoor swimming pool and gym at a high floor has a great view. The breakfast serves a good variety of Vietnamese and western food with some changes everyday. The staff are super friendly. Lilly in particularly has been helpful in giving us ideas and suggestions on local tours, places to visit, and good local restaurants. Considering the facilities and service, the hotel is good value for money.

Hotel Service at Highest Level

We booked and paid for the hotel very close to the check in date. Due to the small window of time, the message of requesting the airport pick up was not passed to the hotel. We booked the hotel from an independent hotel booking site. We made a call to the hotel when we arrived at Da Nang and the hotel staff was able to find my booking and immediately arrange a shuttle bus to pick us up from the airport. It took the bus only 5 mins to arrive and pick us up. We are very happy with the service of the hotel right from the beginning and to the end, at check out.

Staff are helpful though English is lacking otherwise the room and food are great Easy to walk on the street as well. Not that near to the beach though While the room is clean and tidy - our TV didn't really function that well, shut down by itself The shampoo supplies need to improve

Lovely hotel close to the airport.

The Samdi Hotel is very close & convenient to Da Nang Airport. The hotel is beautiful and the staff very helpful. Not everyone speaks English very well so the translator on the iPhone was used at times. It is in a financial/ commercial area of Da Nang so had to travel to find restaurants or look around. We were upgraded to the Penthouse Suite which was really lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked well right through this hotel.

Very welcoming, great service. We didn't care much for the restaurant and the pool bar apparently closes very early so there really isn't any place to socialize.

The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond to meet out every need. The hotel shuttle is a private car ready at a moment's notice. The rooms are very spacious with gorgeous views of the city. While the pool isn't heated, it is very refreshing after a walk through the city. There is a vip lounge with a small snack buffet and one free beer or wine, an indoor swimming pool, full gym, game room, massage and spa, and breakfast buffet. So excited to stay here again next time we visit Da nang

Outdated but staff very friendly

The staff was amazing and very sweet especially Jenny. Very helpful and shared information well. The only thing I can comment on with any negativity is the hustle for tips in the massage center. Everyone e wanted a tip it was a little disheartening at the end of our stay.

Great place if flying out early the next day

Airport shuttle is available but it's only a 10 minute walk to the airport It's a high class place and the food prices are reflected in that. Plenty of places cheaper to eat nearby though. Staff member escorted us to our room and answered our questions which was a nice touch.

Average hotel close to the airport

This hotel is average at best. After I book the room, I got a message through Orbitz asking about my arrival time and flight info so they could pick me up with their free shuttle service, but no one was waiting for me when I arrived at the airport. It wasn’t a big deal because the cab ride was only a few dollars, but still. I arrived at the hotel and told them about it, but instead of apologizing they claimed they didn’t receive my message. The next morning I went to the indoor pool and no one was there. The reason why is the water is way too cold to swim in. The weather was rainy all week in Danang, so it would have been nice if the pool wasn’t ice cold. The smallest room is small, but comfy. The only problem is the hot water for the shower. It’s like warm at best and it wasn’t working at all one morning. I asked for them to repair it, but a worker came by the room and just looked at me puzzled as the why I didn’t think the luke warm water was suffice. Also, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything happening outside your room including the cleaning staff. The breakfast buffet is ok, but it’s basically the same thing every day. I ended up checking out two days early and flying out of Danang earlier than I planned. It was a combination of the weather and accommodations. I think it’s an average hotel for the price I paid, but I would recommend something closer to the Han River or a hotel with better amenities.

Great stay !!

The stay at this hotel was great. We requested for early check-in and late check-out and it was provided to us without any extra charges. Food was decent and they also had baby chair so it was a big plus. Rooms were neat and clean and staff was very friendly.

Do not recommend at all.

One of the worst hotel ever. Service of the staffs is good. But noisy and old Chinese and Korean tourists (old guys) are yelling to each other, from their room to another room opening the door. The price of room seems like cheap, but when it comes to the actual size of the room, it is one of the most expensive hotel in Danang.

The best!!

Traveled to Saigon, Nha Trang, Hue, Danang and Phu Quoc. The Samdi hotel was the best by far. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Wasn’t at the beach but that wasn’t what we were looking for. Only a short taxi ride if that is what you want.

Best compliment buffet breakfast!

The compliment breakfast was hot and a lot of varieties! Dim sum, vietmese, Western selections , and premium coffee ( cappuccino and more) even mini Bamberger ! Friendly staffs will talk and assisted me ! Compliment shuttle to airport as well. This is first visit and will back next time I in danang !

Hotel concierge(Jury) was very attentive. Arranged for personal transportation to Hoi An for me. Convenient location close to International terminal.

Nice room but service was not good

Room was big and comfortable enough however I could not have a good impression on the service by some hotel staffs. I got up early before 7am due to the noise of transceiving by staff. I asked them to be aware of it but she probably did not understand English and the situation was not improved. Also, I asked for housekeeping after two nights. They came to check my room but bed making and bathroom cleaning were not done. I understand there is language barrier but some front desk staff were not supportive. Meanwhile one guy at front desk and Jenny were supportive. I deeply appreciate for their assistance.

A little bit noisy during the night

Great location, 5 minute drive from airport

The management was understanding and flexible with my needs. There was a couple very rude staff though. One of them was the lady at the front desk of the art spa. I went to go get a massage but she was so rude i decided not to even bother getting a massage, i just left. Also one of the staff who stands in front of the hotel was very rude to me and my girlfriend, on multiple occasions. He didn't like that me and my girlfriend were coming and going from the hotel so much. I did not like that at all. I am on vacation and should be able to come and go as i please. The rest of the staff was very pleasant though. The hotel desperately needs to get rid of these two staff members.

Bad shower tub design

The shower tub is halfway close. Expected the floor will be flooded after a 10 mins shower, because the water splashed on the edge has no where to go but to run onto the floor. I need to call housekeeping to clear up all the wet towels after shower everyday.

Fantastic room service just ok

Fantastic room. Service was ok. Room sleeps 6 got charged extra 2 pax cause reception thought we book room with 2 beds instead. Our room had 3 beds. As per booking. As shuttle to airport we tlhad round trip shuttle service with booking was told it would cost us. Took taxi instead.

Decent hotel

Very handy proximity to the airport. Rooms were clean and facilities nice, but rooms did not have a window and were pitch black with the door closed. Need card key to turn on the lights in the room, but also to use the elevator, so one person could not stay in the room while the other went out for something without getting a second key (wasn't offered so got stuck a couple of times). Staff were pleasant. Would be a good hotel for business travellers.

Hotel transportation from the airport was good. Breakfast was fine. But we could hear sounds from other rooms.

Thin walls and windows

Super thin walls and windows. I can hear the plane flying above because it is very close to the airport and neighbours talking. Very noisy and not able to rest well. Room smells bad like old room that has not been used for a long time. Will not go back again

Excellent hotel with great staffs and facilities. The staffs were very nice, friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel was really nice and elegant in a good location. They had a great buffet breakfast with different kinds of dishes. They tasted very good. My son loved their up to date gym in the 18th floor. You can see the whole city from the gym! Really elegant and upscale.

Good location and service

The hotel' s location is very central and we didn't need the use of the taxi visiting the Han Market, Danang Cathedral, Dragon Bridge and the surrounding eateries. Anyway getting a taxi is not expensive but we feel that on foot we can see more things along the way. Cleanliness of the hotel and room is good. Breakfast spread is good with varieties and since we were there on a Saturday we had the buffet dinner as well and would say its value for the price. Staffs are young and polite. Special thanks to Miss Jury Anh and Tracy (concierge), Sarah (front desk) and Tam (restaurant) for the kind assistance rendered in ensuring we have a comfortable stay.

Samdi hotel has excellent services. All of the staffs were super friendly and very helpful. We had a late flight back and they were able to allow a late check out. Also the concierge had arranged our tour transportation and recommended various attractions in the areas all of which were worth visiting. We had a great time at Samdi and will definitely be back to the same hotel should we visit Da Nang again. Thank you Samdi.
