Only thing that bothered me was .there was only two people to this hotel and they put us along side each other lol .and the walls are paper thin .I actually had to say through the wall .that I could hear every word they we're saying lol .no jk .and I had my tv and tablet on lol just letting you know.

The washroom is not senior friendly. Lacks consideration to senior amenities. Tv has little programming.

Room as not very clean. Coffee cups were dirty, had to b returned for clean ones. Surfaces dusty.

Property was in a quite area . Staff were very friendly

Typical motel layout in a courtyard, looked ok from exterior with blue white paint scheme. Interior of rooms were dark. The room was acceptable but the managers were reluctant to acknowledge improvement

I liked that we were isolated ....but the ceiling was damaged ....and there was no ice machine

The sheets were filthy and when we asked to have them changed the staff came up with every excuse they could to not do the work. Staff needs training and an understanding of what is acceptable. One of the excuses was was “in India we don’t use whit sheets, they are dark, so people don’t know it is not clean and they just use them as they are”. Terrible! At least a dozen excuses before the sheets were changed heard by multiple people!

What a dump, Do not stay here!! So dirty, lamps broken, toilet wouldn't flush, cobwebs everywhere, blood on Shower Curtain. Ended up using our own bedding as it wasn't washed.

Very dirty!!!! We were really grossed out. Bathroom so dirty and toilet leaking. Floor sticky, stains on blankets. AC didn't work and major dust in the grill. Walls, baseboard heaters hadn't been wiped in a long time. Don't recommend this motel at all. Not worth the $140 we paid for one night.

rates were affordable for crew, bathrooms need badly redone, chipped, rusty, awful caulking, rusty heater, no plug for coffee machine, had to use hallway plug, bbq area is gross, moldy overfull garbage can, cigarette butts everywhere, bbq is totally rotten, gutters on facility need to be cleaned out, trees are growing in them, bedsheets and shower curtain had blood on them. hopefully they just took this motel over and try to start repairing and upgrading soon. too bad, location was nice, convenient, quiet. Almost too much for all....and they advertised breakfast, where there is none.

Nice and quiet, easy parking. The only thing I didn’t like was the step up into the room and out, kinda high for elderly person

I have been coming to Shelburne for over 30 yrs now, staying at Wildwood,Mackenzies or even the Cape Cod that is gone now, it has been a while since our last visit bc of covid, but I honestly didn’t think there would be anything to worry about, since Wildwood has always been a pleasant stay, clean rooms and nice little breakfast place in the mornings before we go off visiting. This visit we were shocked at the change, the rooms are digusting, I walked around the room with wipes on my feet to clean the floor, the towels are stained, when we asked for more since the room only had 2 and there were 4 of us, we were given more towels with stains. We were there for 3 nights, our room was never cleaned, or checked on even. The room that used to be where u could sit and have breakfast seems to be made into a storage or sleeping area for staff, the staff that seems to just hang out in the bbq area or around their sports cars in the parking lot. Sadly our tradition ends with this visit, we will now find another place to stay for our next visit from Ontario. The only positive I can say is the front desk staff was polite and friendly. It’s so sad to see what’s happened to the little family business in Shelburne

On arrival the motel looked ok,check in was easy. However we were then put in a room over the road,which definitely needs a facelift.Broken window, dirty floor,cobwebs on the lamps. Luckily the bed was comfortable.

This motel is showing its age.. We needed a place for only 1 night. The wifi was free but you have to sit outside the office. They allowed dogs so that is a plus. There are deer running through the yard and we were delighted to see them. The A/C worked - also a plus. The bathroom had no plugs but I stuck 2 poop bags in the holes and they made great plugs. Check in was not until 3 p.m. and after a long drive to get there we had to drive around for 2 hrs. It allowed me to go to Frenchy's and they also allowed dogs as it was a very hot day. I used my Expedia point for a discount and paid around 100.$ cdn. We will stay there again because it was clean and the price was right. My dog loved it there .

A. Ais motel with friendly staff and decent rooms. Quiet rooms

I do not recommend. Smoke detector was sitting in dresser. Toilet seat was rusty and chipped. Bathroom rad was rusty. Bathroom tub stopper had black mold. TV not working. Top sheet was stained (small but nevertheless stained). Glass mirror was dirty. I do not recommend.

I booked a room for two nights with our high school softball team. The rooms were filthy, full of bugs, and the floors were covered in sand or something. The light in the bathroom didn’t work, the shower was full of spiders and the remotes for the tv had all the batteries exploded in them. We weren’t offered any new towels after the first night. With our group, everyone was charged a different rate. Mine was much higher than everyone. (317.40!!!!) Even higher than another family who paid 10 extra dollars a night for their dog to stay. I couldn’t ask about it because there was no one in the office when we checked out in the morning. There is no breakfast offered. The only positive was the gazebo, fire pit and bbq outside. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.

This place is a dump! Rust on everything that can be rusty. Has not been painted, inside and out, in decades. Insects in hotel room. Towels paper thin. Cheap old furniture. Do not stay here.

Dirty chairs, office closed at check-in at 7PM. Had to knock on room number 1 door after a gentle neighbor directed us there to get our keys. 1 towel set missing after reserving in advance for 3 adults. 20$ extra fee for the extra adult.

In order to check in, you have to call the front desk, of which I called ahead several times with no answer. There isn't anyone there all the time. On a positive note, the beds were super comfy!!! The microwave & fridge were very clean. Little fridge was great to refreeze our icepacks! The floors have been redone in laminate, but I'm not convinced they actually cleaned them before our check-in. The front windows in room didn't open but the back ones did open. The bathroom door had marks all over it, the rusty heater in the bathroom needed painting, one light missing in the bathroom mirror, and no bath towels (you'd have to call to get those apparently). We chose not to bother them and shower later. The TV remote needed new batteries, and it happened the hotel clerk was checking someone else in at the time, so we got the batteries (not the end of the world, but we're all spoiled and want to be able to change the channel while lying in bed LOL) However, even after the new batteries, the channels wouldn't change and we had to manually change the channels on the TV. Breakfast was to be included. The clerk at the desk was saying something about the fires in Shelburne, so they aren't serving it now. He had such a thick accent I couldn't make out what he was trying to tell me so I just left if alone. Covid hit a lot of businesses. However, this property needs some TLC & Attention to really meet the mark. Would I return? Maybe.

It’s an older motel with some updates. Reasonable price for reasonable accommodations. Only complaint was they provide a coffee maker but no coffee.

A very quiet area good for walking. Lots of deer! The property needs more upgrades but these seem to be in the works. Bed was decent if not great and sleep shouldn't be a problem.

first thing, breakfast was part of the purchase, they had no breakfast. The room smelled musty when we walked in. Inside of bathroom door was disgusting - dirty. Buttons missing on the A/C, couldn't control the temperature. Spider hanging from the corner. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Gazebo wasn't set up for guests. grounds consisted of an enormous amount of mushrooms - not a good place to walk our dog. Had to pay an additional $25 for my very small dog. I feel we should receive a partial refund, because none of our party was pleased. Oh, and stains on the sheets, an earwig crawled out from under one of the sheets in our friends' room. We went to Annapolis Royal Inn the next day and it was beautiful!!!

The property is very run down.

We had a comfortable bed low enough to sit on or get onto to sleep ! There was room for all our suitcases , our groceries , and toiletries . We had a desk and a small dining set. There was an actual coffee pot and the mini fridge has a freezer. We really enjoyed the vacation , walked into town for Ship's Galley Pub , barrel factory and museum/gift shop.

Basic breakfast, no choice just left in the room after we had checked in. No coffee in the room or available.

The unit was partially renovated but needs attention to the bathroom vent (needs cleaning) and the electric baseboards are in need of replacement. The fridge door was hard to close. Over all it was okay to sleep there and over time it will be fixed up. A good work in progress.

We chose this hotel because it was close to our event. We booked for 5 nights and were happy it included a continental breakfast for 2. There was NO breakfast. We were assigned a room opposite the main hotel. The internet and TV were down. After 2 days we were moved to the main hotel where the internet and TV were working. The room was quite attractive, the bed was comfortable , the cleaning was superficial, the towels were very worn. We were disappointed there was no breakfast when we expected it and they were slow to move us to an area with TV and internet.

Room was very clean and neat. It was in need of minor repair but very clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel!

The facility is too expensive for what is provided, it needs a lot of maintenance and renovations. Windows and curtains from the 60s, rusted fixtures in the bathroom, needs some painting inside and outside. Long grass, lots of weeds and cigarette butts in front of the rooms.

This is a very basic, but clean motel. The room was very spartan, but had all the amenities listed and was quite large. The owners were welcoming, but it needs a bit of work to cheer the place up. The outside is very drab.

Staff was very friendly and courteous. Outside our room there were cigarette butts all over the ground. The bathroom along the bottom of the shower curtain was black with mold as well as the rubber bath mat.

The room was very clean and the beds comfortable Some parts of the room had been updated (bathroom fixtures), but other aspects were worn and shoddy.... bathroom tiles were old, baseboard heaters were rusted, the exterior door gasket falling off, exterior trim damaged, and lots of cobwebs and debris .around windows . In our view, it was overpriced

They promised free breakfast. There was none. There were no glasses in the room. The batteries in the remote were dead! Heat control was useless We were very disappointed for the cost. We have stayed at many places for less and rooms were amazing as were the free breakfasts. Staff never answered our calls.

The ads say that breakfast is included. Owners said they aren't yet doing this. Given the price paid in other, much superior motels, and even high-end bed and breakfasts, the price paid is outrageous.

The property was fine, just nothing special. Free breakfast was advertised but turns out not available in the off-season. TV, fridge, wifi etc all worked fine. Just served its purpose as basic accommodation.

Location is tranquil, beautiful deer in close sight. However, free breakfast is advertised and included in the price. No attempt was made to compensate for " the because of covid" lack thereof. Other establishments had a alternative plan. Additional pillows required at this establishment

I had stayed at the Wildwood about 20yrs ago and what impressed me then was how simple, clean and quiet it was. The Wildwood still delivers all all of that! The new owners are very warm, welcoming and friendly. The management called me immediately after recieving my reservation to inform me (and apologize) that there would be no breakfast as advertised due to the Covid restrictions. I was already aware of this and took something with me. Beds are very comfy, and no carpet! 😀

Floors were filthy stayed 3 days as there was no where else to stay. We found a used hypodermic needle on the floor behind the toilet, hotel gave us a 10% discount for it and seemed indifferent. Room was never cleaned once in 3 days, it was absolutely filthy, black feet across the board....socks were ruined, worse than walking outdoors. No towels unless we tracked them down and asked and then we had to wait for them to be washed.

Room was clean, with new furniture and bed. The bed was comfortable. The area is quiet.

The room was newly renovated and clean. Renovations included new mattresses, window ac, flooring, and paint. All staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Although room was basically clean, there were large piles of construction debris around the property. Promised free breakfast did not exist

The location was very quiet, which was great; but the motel was not busy so probably much different on a busier night. The bed was very comfortable and room was warm once we figured out the thermostat. There was also no carpet, which we appreciated. The motel is old and although some remodelling has been done; the room needs a really good deep cleaning; over and above the basics. We were only in town overnight; so overall it met our requirements.

Very friendly staff. Beds were great. Was glad we had a fridge for our ice packs as we were on our motorcycles. Tissues would have been nice to have, and we would loved to have had tea along with the coffee. Also two glasses are needed in the room.

For the most part its a great place to stay. But its not the cleanest . We were there a few hours and my daughters feet for so black from the floor. I don't think they mop. The Bbq has no utensils either

As the description suggest it was a drive up motel that was very much in style during the 1980's. Despite it tiredness it was very clean.

Not impressed. Property needs total overhaul. Room had funky smell, tap falling off wall in shower, unhelpful staff, etc.

Just a nice, old fashioned drive up motel. The man at check in was pleasant and the rooms were very clean and well kept. Because of Covid there wasn't a breakfast (pretty standard everywhere right now) so I can't speak to that, but everything else was nice!

Food was good for the price and nice town 2nd time there

Special treat...homemade bread at breakfast!! Very quiet, peaceful area. Would certainly stay here again
