On going brawl outside Walls paper thin so could hear an entire phone conversation after closing time. Creaky bed meant you could move without making noise. Bathroom could have been cleaner, mouldy floor. Suspect pest box in the room. Staff however were very friendly!
Disappointing Prince of Wales Town House stay
Disappointing, room (Westminster Bridge room) grubby, tired and noisy, carpet stained, window wouldn’t shut fully (with this room facing a busy road better sound proofing is needed, fixing the window would be the first step). Attached pub ok, however it inexplicably closed on at 10pm on the Friday evening! We won’t be returning ..,.
Great bed, great drinks downstairs, close to the train. All we needed!
Excellent
Excellent. Warm greeting, nice room, good food. Excellent!
Great pub and staff, some maintenance issues in the room but overall a nice stay.
Dog friendly
Great stay. Dog friendly.
Great place to stay ! Close to the tube for easy travel. Food is great. Staff are excellent!
Klyde was extremely welcoming and the property is very quaint. I will definitely return here!
Quaint rooms and great pub downstairs
Clyde went out of his way to make us feel at home and even secured free parking
Great overnight stay in Hammersmith
An exceptionally warm and friendly welcome from Nick and Kianna got our one night stay off to a good start. The room was comfortable and much quieter than we had expected.
Great hosts, above a nice pub, convenient to transportation into downtown London. Would definitely go again.
Short stay for Taylor Swift concert
Good location and atmosphere.reasonable size room and lots of space. Bed and sofa bed very comfortable. Good quality food and drink with very quick service. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and prompt attention to questions / assistance needed
Very charming inn. Staff were very friendly & helpful. There were a couple of flights of stairs you need to climb. Discounts for your meals in the pub.
Lovely hotel staff would highly recommend.
Clean room in a very convenient location. Two issues: breakfast was not available as the chef didn't arrive, and on Friday night there was a large loud private party in the bar just below our room which continued until after 1am. The manager relocated us to a quiet room on the 3rd floor which solved that problem.
Nice staff - poor room - real shame
Poor bed - squeaky frame, lots of noise coming from other rooms and sound like of pump noise through most of the night. Shower was very basic, and pipe to shower head broken/damaged. Room itself needed upgrading / painting / thorough cleaning. Shame, because the pub downstairs had a really nice vibe and the staff were very welcoming.
Great environment, very quiet and staff very friendly and ready to assist, definitely will revisit them!
Lovely friendly hotel.
The hotel has a lovely welcoming feel. All of the staff are really friendly and helpful. I had to adjust my booking so I phoned the hotel and they got everything sorted for me straight away. The rooms are clean and comfortable with great facilities. The bar and restaurant are both extremely clean and welcoming. You get a discount on food and drinks when staying in the hotel. We especially enjoyed the live music. There are heated seating areas outside, which we liked. We booked here as we went to a concert at the Eventim Apollo, which is just a short walk away.
Ideal for short stays, third time here. Great area with lots of pubs and restaurants close by, staff awesome. Short walk to tube station. Rooms are small but not cramped.
Absolutely loved it! 5*
A truly fab stay! Amazing team and staff. So friendly, so interesting and a great location. A unique and rare find!
Bargain Pub Food
Stopped here for work this week and absolutely recommend it. Ate in the bar both nights, food is very reasonably priced for London, especially if you pick one of the daily specials which comes with a free drink. On top of that you get 15% discount for being a hotel guest…can’t fault it. I had the London Bridge room which was massive and very comfortable. Next time I’m in Hammersmith I’ll be sure to stay here again.
Prince of Wales Townhouse was a great. Excellent location, very close to Ravencourt Station; ask about little shortcut to it. Food was great, staff was very warm, kind and welcoming! I would highly recommend.
Very good property in great location.
Really enjoyed our recent stay at Prince of Wales. It was convenient to the train line and easily walkable. The bed was comfy and clean and the staff were so friendly.
Decent stay if you are looking for budget accommodation and don’t mind a bit of noise. Windows are single glazed and the arms on our was broken. There was noise from the pub below till about 12pm and fairly quiet after then so not a problem to us. Our room was basic but adequate, shower was in the room and toilet seat was wonky, bed very squeaky but it was clean and served our purposes as we were out for most of our two night stay. Very close to a tub station. We didn’t eat or drink in the pub, looked decent and nice outside area.
Was a little iffy staying at a pub with two kids. I have to say I was blown away. This is such a cute property. Mind you I have a 11 and a 15 year old so they are not babies. This hotel is on top of a pub but the music shut off by 10/11 pm on Sunday not sure about Saturday or Friday nights. But we could barley hear anything and our room was right on top of the pub. The environment was chill on Sunday as it was Father’s Day so I felt very welcomed allowing the kids to play shuffle board in the pub and darts. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I even needed an outlet to charge my phone and Nick let me borrow his personal outlet overnight. Room has no air conditioning but fans. We let the windows open and slept just fine in June. Now if there was excessive heat I’m not sure how that would have worked. No elevators but just one story that is a very short stair case. The door to the hotel has a code only for hotel guests so I felt quiet safe and separate from the pub. The kids slept in the pull out couch and we slept in the very comfortable large king bed maybe it was a queen bed. Most comfortable bed we slept in and we stayed in Europe for 3 weeks (Italy/ France and London) this was by far the best bed ever. The plus was that it was .2 miles away from the metro/ district line Ravenscourt, so super easy to get to London center. Would stay hear again if I’m ever in London.
Arrived very early after a flight. Easy walk from the tube. Room wasn't available yet (perfectly understandable) but got some drinks at the really impressive bar. Soon as the room was cleaned and ready we were checked in. Rooms well appointed, clean, pretty large too for London. Breakfast available at the weekends too and it's damn good. Thanks folks 😃
poor state of repair
For a £140 per a night I expected better. The room was in a poor state of repair. Curtain hooks more than half missing (I had to move some to keep the curtains closed), shower screen handle hanging off, glass shower screen that open directly onto the sink with no buffer. shower head holder falling off the wall. Some very dubious stains on the carpets and chair and black mould in the shower. Not the best choice of hotel, sorry guys can't say I would rush back.
Trip to Riverside studios
Good location for Hammersmith, lots of stairs and next door room noisy. No phone in room so had to walk down to the pub to ask questions. Overall would stay again though. Perhaps on a lower floor
Absolutely lovely staff could've do enough for you! Very busy pub with lots going on but we stayed on the to floor and had no noise disturbance at all. Lovely big room and comfy bed. Good food. Great location for the Apollo and 10minute walk from Hammersmith Station. Loved it.
Good value for money and convenient
The toilet re fill kept filling all the time, and the shower was broken, had to physically hold the shower head to shower .
Prince of Wales Townhouse was wonderful. We stayed in the Hampshire Suite and it was very nice. The pub downstairs was excellent for food and drink. Best night sleep.
area
A great place to be
Location good as Hotel a couple of minutes away from station. Lovely atmosphere. Rooms above pub but you wouldn’t know it. Bed comfortable for me a little soft for my husband. On a fairly main road so traffic noise but to be expected. Clean bathroom with shower. Plenty of wardrobe space. Hairdryer and iron in room. Large tv. WiFi available. Separate entrance to the pub downstairs and this serves lovely food and variety of their own ales. Snooker tables. Plenary of TV’s showing various sport matches. Heated outside garden. Staff are welcoming and accommodating.
Excellent place to stay.
Excellent place to stay. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Spacious shower. Only drawback was number of stairs up to the rooms. Ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. Only a 5 minute walk from the tube station. Would definitely stay again.
Everything was fabulous😁
A fabulous stay for wkend..the staff were lovely especially kaylee(hope that is spelt right) very friendly and welcoming nothing was any trouble, so we hope the owners appreciate there staff😁 lovely comfy rooms good english breakfast on 10mins from main high st 15mins for theatre..when we go back to hammersmith this is the place to stay..Fantastic 👍😁..
Beautiful building and pub with good food and drink. Friendly folks. Westminster room needs an air conditioner because the extreme road noise makes it impossible to sleep with windows open.
Friendly staff, Great service & Excellent Location
It was an excellent place to stay in because: - Very friendly and personable staff. Felt like talking to a friend rather than management. - Room was clean, spacious and having Iron and a Hair dryer was very convenient. - Conditions of ensuite bathroom was very neat and clean Most important is the location! Its within Zone 2 of Tubeline, very close to Central London. It took us 3 minutes to walk to nearest Underground Stop and 26 minutes straight to Tower Bridge on District line.
Great ambiance.
Great service and pub and nice rooms (not awesome)
The manager is an awesome guy... Super helpful and friendly. The rooms are really sweet and lovely but it's a bit rough around the edges and not a great area. Superb pub food and vibe underneath... Overall a great old style pub hotel.
Wanted to stay outside of London and we are glad we did! We showed up ear, several hours before check in, but we were treated to some tea and they cleaned a room so we could return at a time better for us. Having a restaurant downstairs with amazing food is a great treat as well! (Do not worry, I was not bothered by any sounds from the business and you should not be, either).
Recent Visit
We stayed here on the evening on Sat 7th May to allow my wife and I to attend a concert in the Hammersmith Eventim. Location was great, a brief 10 minute walk to the arena. Overall we had a good stay at the Prince of Wales. It wasn't the best room we'd ever had, but for London prices it was nice and suitable for purpose. The room was fresh, though the mattress on the bed was a little too soft for my wife and I, and the bedhead also had an annoying squeak every time we moved. Everything you could want in a room was provided however, flat screen TV, hairdryer, fan and kettle. One point of note regards the kettle and in fairness we didn't notice until very late at night, there were no coffee sachets available and only one pod of milk, so it was a case of having to share a cup of tea first thing in the morning. Not a biggie of course, however attention to detail does make all the difference. Check-in was very slick and the gentleman who checked us in couldn't have been any more helpful, taking us to the room to show us the location and offering to carry any bags we had due to stairs. Although we were attending a concert on the evening, we did sample the food, my wife opting for a chicken goujon starter with fries on the side which she really enjoyed, with myself opting for fish and chips. Although the fish was not of the highest quality, it was tasty and cooked well. Overall then it was a good overnight stay and we would certainly look to use the facility again if in the area.
So disappointing
A luke warm shower dribbled into a mouldy tray, no hair dryer, no plugs anywhere near coffee maker, continental breakfast tasted tired and tried. Never again.
Would love to come back
Adorable comfortable English pub below made this stay delightful. The room was clean, comfortable and cozy. We were out early the next morning but I wish we could have had an extra night. Very friendly staff and great location close to Heathrow.
Really friendly staff, beautifully decorated room, comfy bed and handy for the tube. Loved it.
Convenient but not a 9+!
Stayed for one night and only used this location on the basis it was a 9+ rating on hotels.com. Arrived late evening to a very warm welcome. Staff seemed very pleasant. Got to my room and it at first appeared not to have been cleaned. After a look around it had been cleaned but to a very poor standard (I’m still actually unsure if it was or not). I can see the appeal with the place but it’s not a 9+ establishment and I’m being as realistic as I can be. I actually would stay again but it certainly won’t accept that type of cleanliness again.
Rook's nest is in a great location. Staff (Natalia, Darren and especially Paul) were absolutely wonderful. Great place - can't wait to return.

Sofa bed was really uncomfortable and not big enough for our 11 and 13 year olds. The bed was also not made up on our arrival and we weren’t supplied with extra towels or bedding for the 4 people we had booked for. In fairness we didn’t complain at the property as we just wanted an early night although there is quite a lot of noise from the bar and main road even when it was a fairly quiet Sunday & Monday night (granted for London)
