Outside of town, 5 minutes An oasis.beautiful accommodations. Great pool.great food recommendation
Amazing hotel, huge bed, outdoor shower, great food and cocktails. Enjoyed the pool area a lot also after several days on the Salt flats and the fire pits with a cocktail watching sunset was great. Shuttle bus was easy to get in and out of the town too.
We experienced this hotel 13 years ago and at that time it was really nice . We were happy to come back but disappointed now. They just do not maintained as it should be.This hotel is tired now and need to be renovated.
Quiet and very friendly staff, but very uncomfortable beds/mattresses which is a shame as otherwise would recommend it
Hotel excursions were worth doing
We had an an amazing experience here! The staff was super kind and helpful, the property was amazing, just an overall awesome time here! We will definitely be back!
Excellent choice. Beautiful property, very comfortable rooms, comfortable beds, bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower and a beautiful patio to enjoy. Very good breakfast and the restaurant is an excellent option for dinner. The staff is very friendly and attentive to all our requirements. Highly recommended.
The only negative was the smell of black water when irrigating the gardens
Regular bang for the buck!
Perfect hotel, amazing rooms, comfortable beds, excellent team of associates from front desk to restaurant and also Spa and Gym facilities are great!!
Lovely getaway. Great staff. Beautiful property. On site restaurant was delicious. Overall great experience. Atacama is a special place.
Excellent Hotel in a quiet place
Amazing hotel. A little far from the town's main street but very clean, friendly staff, nice rooms
Mixed bag, but too expensive for the experience
Good points: - The hotel itself is lovely - we loved the rooms and the decor in the common areas. - massage at the spa was fab! - our receptionist who checked us in was so friendly Bad points: - if you are vegan they say they have options but they weren’t available especially for dinner. We complained as we booked dinner and couldn’t get anything to eat, which was frustrating after messaging the hotel and emailing the chef - some of the staff are very unfriendly - particularly one waitress who told us she couldn’t help us as ‘there was a big group dining in’ Overall I don’t think this was worth the money. For a luxury hotel they should really look after ALL guests, not just big groups and those without dietary requirements
Good
Nice hotel with nice staffs but strange bad smells (sewer system ) around hotel couldn't even sleep cause of that.
Amazing hotel, stuff very friendly
Everything was amazing!! Would love to come back and stay longer next time.

Good resort for a break in the desert
Great place to rest after four days of hectic activity going to Uyuni from Chile and back! Beautiful pool, great rooms and excellent facilities to hang out!
Flexibility and arrangement
it was in good location.
We were looking forward to this stay on our travels but unfortunately it was a disappointment. We emailed prior to our stay for a transfer from town, the email was ignored resulting in us walking for 30 minuted with 20kg rucksacks on our back. When we arrived and complained about the lack of transfer, we were met with laughter and the receptionist telling us it isn't a long walk. No one helped with our bags, when we were clearly tired, warm and struggling. No one showed us to our room, we were told "it's down there
This hotel is beautiful and really nice!!!! The room was what I was expecting. The reception staff could be a little nicer. But the property was really comfortable and walking distance to town. Be ready for a lot of sand and dust, but it is part of the experience.
very friendly staff, willing to assist
Superb hotel & staff!
Good hotel but not for vegans
Hotel itself was good however the lack of vegan food and no wifi in rooms (despite hotels.com showing wifi is in fact in rooms) was extremely disappointing. Wifi is only available in common areas which isnt convenient at all. The ac started blowing out hot air on day 2 of our 4 day stay.. which wasnt fixed on day 3.... and in 30 deg heat this wasnt good at all.
Great stay
Really chilled out and nice atmosphere at the resort. Was able to relax during my stay. Rooms were big, breakfast was nice, some nice touches (such as suncream, water and snacks provided). Only negative was I was in a room 1900 which was a 10 minute walk to reception.
Great choice!
Amazing service! very friendly staff. Great food! Property and rooms are awesome!
Fantastic stay
A truly wonderful place to stay
Staying here was one of our most blessed and favourite experiences, everything was utterly wonderful, the service, the good and the most incredible location, quiet and away for the hustle and bustle of San Pedro but so easy to get into the centre of town if we wanted, the spa was an added bonus, we thought we would go into town every night for dinner but staying in the hotel as the food was so good and the experience so very wonderful, we would recommend the Cumbres every time
The hot tub was filthy with cloudy water an just warm. The pool was like an above ground pool that they tried to put in the ground. I’ve cold water and tiny. There were stray dogs roaming the property everywhere. The food was awful and barely edible. If your looking for extra low lux at a high price this is for you!
Beautiful location, great spa services, nice property.
Clean and unique desert setting. The food was just ok.
This hotel is lovely. They have a shuttle to and from the town until 11:30pm (last pick up from town). The people (David, the gentleman who works nights at the front desk, the waiters in the restaurant, the cleaning crew) go out of their way to cater to your needs. My room had an indoor and an outdoor shower. If you’re into that, you can shower looking up at the stars. Breakfast is great. Now word to the wise: 1. I arranged a pick up from the airport through the hotel. They never showed up and when I called from the airport they didn’t even apologize and I was almost charged for the pick up. 2. The restaurant is priced as would a restaurant in the US. 3. The tours are more expensive at the hotel than the ones in town. Did I love my stay at cumbres? Yes, I did, despite the above. P.S. use the Spa!
Nice hotel, a bit on the expensive side for what it offers. Reception service not very friendly but rest of staff was.
A must stay!
This was a beautiful hotel, one of the nicest in the area. Beautifully designed and very peaceful. Rooms are stunning, bathroom is fab (indoor and outdoor shower!), and the pool area is wonderful, with 3 different temperature pools (small), and 2 jacuzzis. I had a massage st the spa which was out of this world. The free peanuts and raisins in the lobby are a nice treat. Breakfast was decent and also free. Would definitely stay there again! They make and use their own energy, a completely sustainable hotel.
great
fantastic
Lovely relaxing hotel where it’s nice to rest between excursions. Staff very helpful
The shower was backed up. The bathroom cleanliness was so so. The complain to front desk did not help.
Chose this over Explora and was glad
This is a gorgeous property and actually preferred it to the more expensive options as it's on a very human scale, has everything you need, a lovely spa, attentive and gracious staff, and superb excursions. We took their bikes and rode all around. Made use of the outdoor shower. Did not care for dinner menu but breakfast was wonderful. Stargazing right at hotel with excellent guide. Superb.
We had a great time, with the tours and tour guides being excellent. Food was very good, with pastries at breakfast ( esp. elephants ears) a highlight. Views of mountains and sunsets fantastic. Pools, spas and hot and dry saunas were great. Massages were okay to good, but value for money in massage prices is questionable. One problem in room 803: at night shower drain emitted smell of sewers, which suspect is due to sewerage pumping at night creating air gaps in pipes that drain trap could not handle. Might be specific to room 803 or more general and needs to be fixed.
Amazing Cumbres
This place is awesome! I didn’t mind that it was just a tad far from the town but I didn’t care; that’s the whole purpose of this place... off the beaten path but offering many activities for what the guest desires. The three waiters in particular made dinners & breakfast an treat unto its own; Sylvania, Alvaro, & Edgardo! You three rock! Tamara by the poolside is super cool! In fact, the entire staff go out of there way to make you feel welcome. I hope to return someday soon to Atacama and without a doubt this will be the place I will book my hotel stay!!!
Beware of overcharges
I was charged twice for lodging. At check out I was told the internet was not working but that everything was in order and an e mail receipt would be sent to me that showed the extra charge. I tried to resolve the issue with the hotel but got no where. I had to resort to my credit card company to help me. My advised is if you stay at this hotel make sure you check your receipt before you leave. I was extremely disappointed by the fact that a hotel as reputable as this was very unresponsive and fraudulent in overcharging their customer for services already payed for.
Relaxing hotel at the edge of San Pedro
This is a beautiful hotel just at the edge of San Pedro. Our room was amazing - spacious and stylish - with a an outdoor shower and patio. The staff are very experienced in the area's attractions and are able to provide detailed information and instructions. The restaurant is excellent!
Good facilities, poor service
-nice big rooms, huge beds, good indoor and outdoor showers -hotel is mainly geared to groups. -our rooms were a long way from reception and there was effectively no buggy service -staff are poorly trained/motivated and the hotel needs much better management. Compared to other hotels in Chile (and in Atacama itself) the standard of english was extremely basic, the willingness to help low and they were simply hopeless at some basic requests such as ordering a snack lunch at the pool
Exotic Luxury in High Desert
The town of San Pedro de Atacama is full of hotels, guest houses and hostels. But this one, located about 10-minutes drive from the town center is unique. It is a self-contained oasis of a resort in the desert, with multiple swimming pools and Jacuzzi pools; and a fascinating lobby; plus rooms that are uniquely designed to blend into the landscape. A bit pricey; but worth every penny.
Very tired facilities with poor service.
This supposed to be 4* resort. In theory... Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience staying at Cumbres Atacama. First, the check-in experience: it took forever to check-in with the desk guy who did not want to respond to my questions. It happened all the time, for any kind of inquiry: they just do not care! Second, the rooms are in a really bad shape. The pieces of plaster are falling down from the walls...literally. Then the AC is not cooling. You must open the doors at night, but this may turn dangerous, since one night I got the dog in my room in the middle of the night. Obviously, I have reported the event and yes, once again, the staff didn't seem to care. Moreover, after the rain, the hallway and the bathroom of my room got flooded! Finally, each morning, the breakfast was a mess, dirty tables, shortages of food. In the evening, the food is decent but the waiters, oh my, so rude. To sum up, this hotel sells for $300...What you get for this money, is not worth more than $90. So better go elsewhere.
Expensive overrated hotel
Outdated, lobby and restaurant area the roof was leaking when it was raining, door to outdoor shower could not be locked, barbique buffet was very in tasty and low quality
stylish approach to a desert location
We really enjoyed the style of the hotel and rooms, using the mud wall and stone. The room was very large, bed was the biggest we have seen, over 7'6" wide, outside terrace and particularly outside as well as inside showers. Pools were well kept and well serviced, and the landscaping was excellent
Great hotel but service not good.
Rooms, restaurant and spa are great. Service was not comparable with the rest. It was not bad at all but if you need anything different than standard they will struggle.
Very nice hotel
The hotel is around one kilometer from town which was great for us. The hotel offers excellent bikes and a van to go to town. The staff is awesome, everybody wanted to help us. The internet was down for several days, not their fault. They helped us with additional access to internet. On our day out, we had to depart very early. They had a lunch box ready for us at the front desk. Very nice touch, greatly appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful. The food was very good.
Beautifull Hotel and Spacious Rooms
Everything was wonderfull in our stay. Beautifull rooms, very well decorated, and nice facilities... The breakfast was very good; you can ask for omelletes or speacial eggs. The staff was kind... The only problem was the bad smell that sometimes came out in the garden. It smells like there was a problem with the water treatment plant.
Run down mess
I would not recommend that anyone stay at this hotel. Wifi not working. No hot water in shower. Rooms are run down and dirty. Service in the hotel is poor.
Luxury hotel close (but not to close) to San Pedro
Rooms are huge, with comfortable bed and very large bathroom. Two showers, one inside and one outside (nice to shower under the stars), two sinks with lots of countertop space. Each room has a patio with furniture to enjoy sitting outside. It was very quiet at night (quiet during the day as well). We never heard our neighbors. The included breakfast is good, with lots of choices, as well as your choice of eggs if you don't want scrambled. You can also get a box lunch if you prefer (or for an extra charge if you want both breakfast and box lunch). On site restaurant is good for dinner, but there is also a shuttle to town (5 minute drive) that can be used to eat in San Pedro.
Very nice stay. Good excursion options. Nice facilities.
Overpriced and remote
It is a desert ..! Yet each afternoon for the 4 days we stayed there it rained in the PM .. dirt and water make fantastic mud ..!!
There 4 days .. rained 4 days ..lots o mud
The hotel is 2+ kilometres from town. If you have no car it's a long dark walk along dirt unlit tracks back from town .. the hotel is overpriced and under manned .. it rained on our stay .. more water in the room than the pool ..!!
Room was nice, good excursions, service lackluster
Our room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The excursions were probably more expensive than if we had gone through a tour company in town, but we were happy with all of them. The staff at the hotel made a number of mistakes and were slow to the point of being frustrating, and they put a damper on many of our experiences on the trip.
stargazing paradise
Room quality, size of property and stargazing all received top marks. Food and customer service was lacking. Recommend for a night to photograph the stars. The value isn't there for what they charge unless you need handholding in San Pedro or if you prefer a resort environment.
Really nicely done hotel....kinda cabana style (3rooms per building)...spread over a huge area in a deser setting
GREAT STAY, GREAT STAFF!
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cumbres very, very much. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing and the staff was so friendly and attentive. We'd've liked to have tested the spa out, but were too busy touring the salt flats, Valle de la Luna and Muerte, and the Altiplano! The ONLY suggestion I would have to make our stay better would be to have the shuttle downtown drop visitors off a single block further on Main Street so you don't have to walk and wait for your return in the dark. All was well, regardless, but that one detail seemed amiss to us.
A paradise oasis in the desert
Fabulous hotel with friendly, helpful staff; luxurious rooms; brilliant pool area/spa & amazing restaurant. Spectacular views of desert & mountains. Peaceful as out of town yet still close to central San Pedro. We were the only guests with a child (3 years old) yet felt totally relaxed to be travelling as a family. Hotel would be ideal for honeymoon, anniversary or luxury family break. Cannot wait to return!
Very nice ammenities
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Very nice rooms, pools and restaurant.
Pretty great, a few flaws
Solid hotel in a funky town in a awesome desert Service was good not great..staff seemed helpful but not well trained...service was not overwhelming Seemed odd that bottled water was not free after the first day even though this was the desert Liked all tours except geysers, too early unimpressive
Oasis in the dessert.
SPA is a great town with cero infrastructure. This hotel provides you with the much needed infrastructure to enjoy your trip. It has a shutle to town(20 min walk), great staff, one of the best restaurants in town, incredible casita type rooms with outdoor shower and patio, ok pool and good excursion team. SPA is an expensive town and cumbres was decently priced. Staff was frankly incredible. They went out of their way to help. Wife got dick and they had a docyor in hotel in 15 minutes.
Good hotel with issues
Hotel was very nice although internet was inconsistent (as expected for being in the desert). Staff and service was great, with great excursions and guides, especially Sebastian. The main issue we had with hotel was the restaurant (food and drinks). They often ran out of stuff and never had enough things to make drinks (drinks were good when available). Breakfast was not ready one morning, there were no eggs, no juice 15 minutes after it was supposed to open (we had to go when it opened to go on an early excursion). Service was often terribly slow at restaurant. There are better restaurant options in town, which hotel had free shuttle to.
Great choice in Atacama
Arrival, room quality, staff helpfulness were great Hotel facilities are beautiful Perhaps they could be bigger/better but considering this is Atacama, they are more than adequate The restaurant could be better though. We had a great Quincho (BBQ) and breakfasts during our stay but the rest of the days, the menu could be updated. Overall, very pleased with our stay and recommend this wholeheartedly I would not hesitate in staying again.
Room was beautiful, staff were great. If booking excursions, it's best to ask questions beforehand, as they are variable.
Beautiful hotel in an amazing part of Chile
3 night/ 4 day stay. beautiful hotel with really friendly staff (most of whom spoke great English - and encouraged our poor Spanish! A particular highlight for us were the excursions we did from the hotel, which were all with hotel-based guides. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and friendliness was second to none and really added to our break. We did not want to leave!
Disappointing Service
I arrived at the hotel tired and dusty after 8 days camping in the desert. Small things, but check in was not fast or smooth; confusion over whether my room was ready despite being already at the check in hour, the check in clerk forgetting to take a copy of my passport and instead of sending someone to collect it - asking me to bring it back to reception. Despite being told in advance the spa would have availability and I didn't need to pre-book, the facialists were all busy that day. The wine options for the welcome drink are truly terrible. I checked twice that laundry could be returned to me by a certain time prior checkout, and despite several phone calls the next morning, it was still one hour later than proimised leading to a stressful checkout. On the plus side the rooms are beautiful and the whole place is incredibly relaxing. 5 star atmosphere with 3 star service level.
Fantastic hotel, incredibly helpful staff
Great rooms with everything you need, kept clean and fresh. Really appreciated the hotel's dedicated tour service (with well qualified guides fluent in English) - and the bikes included with the room are a great touch. The staff are the real standout feature- they'll go out of their way to do anything to keep your stay comfortable. Cannot praise the level of helpfulness and consideration from the staff enough. Only downside is it's a little way out of town, but the hotel does provide regular transport throughout the day.
oasis in the middle of the stars
the hotel maximizes the experience of being in one of the most spectacular desert places in the world. The have a wonderful cactus garden at the entrance and many native trees. The sauna and spa are amazing. The restaurant is also superb with several pisco drinks available.
Kind staff, a little hit or miss.
The hotel is a 20 minute walk from town, which I liked. (Though some might not like the dusty road, especially when cars pass.) The rooms are tastefully done- not overly fancy, but clean, simple, with proper amenities. Because tours start early, the hotel offered a bag lunch in place of breakfast, which was nice if only to have snacks before the tour breakfast was offered. The pool isnt heated, which means weather needs to be warm enough, and I was there in the beginning of June, so it wasn't. But I didn't mind, since I was generally fairly tired after excursions. Flags, or notes of caution, when I asked to borrow a corkscrew from the bar for a bottle of wine I had acquired in town, they said it would cost 8,000 chilean pesos- roughly the cost of the bottle. I thought that was pretty tacky. I have never had that experience from a hotel before. Perhaps, not having wine glasses in the room should have been a tip off. But in a country known for its wine, it's weird not too. The other thing to be aware and on top of, is transfer to/from the airport. We arranged for return transit upon checking into the hotel, providing time and flight information. After three different times were given for our pick up, and waiting close to an hour in the lobby, they did not notify us that the van had arrived and so it left, and had to return to retrieve us. Again, the hotel staff were always incredibly pleasant and nice, they were just a little off.
Great hotel close to town
The grounds of the hotel are comfortable and attractive with several pools and jacuzzis. The hotel is just outside of town, reachable by free hotel bike in 10 minutes or free hotel shuttle in 5 minutes. The food was very good at all meals. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were multiple tours, easily arranged through the hotel.
A blend of desert, mountains & indigenous culture
Rustic design yet luxurious. Big rooms each with a deck onto desert. Outdoor showers fantastic ( they have indoor ones also!)
Very Nice hotel. Excellent service.
Everything was excellent. The only thing that they have to improve is the Restaurant service, You get what you pay, I recommended it.
Excellent hotel
Very nice hotel indeed! The staff is very helpful, and always looking forward to solver your problems. It's very nicely decorated and it's very clean. The hotel is located about 2km from the center of San Pedro de Atacama, but there is always a van/bus going to the center and back to the hotel. The travel agency of the hotel might be pricier than the ones in the town, but for what I have been told, the service is much better. Breakfast is excellent! Nothing to say here. Just excellent and abundant. 100% Recommended. It was included in the rooms price.
Nice and excellent facilities, good service.
Good surprise to find a good Hotel and facilities in the small town, good serviece and attention.
Great facilities and service
We had a fabulous 4 nights at Cumbres. Every little detail had been thought of and it was so nice to relax in such lovely surroundings. The pools were great and we thoroughly enjoyed the three guided tours we took. Nothing was too much trouble.
Beautiful Hotel
This hotel was beautiful. They have 5 pools/hot tubs all kept at different temperatures. The rooms have stone floors and an outdoor shower. The rooms were kept very clean. The only thing is that the AC did not keep the room very cool during the night, so we were pretty warm! I ate a few times at the restaurant and the food was good. The breakfast buffet included was one of the best we had in Chile. They had complimentary trail mix and sunblock out some of the days, and other days it was not there.
Fantastic retreat in the desert.
Stay here! Delicious food, dreamy beds, indoor and outdoor showers, plus private terrace. Couldn't ask for a better and more comfortable stay.
Excellent
Love it since the minute I landed my feet at the hotel. Nice staffs even thou some can not speak English but they are still very helpful and friendly.
Long weekend in San Pedro Atacama
All the staff at this hotel were extremely welcoming and friendly. The excursions were very good with good guides. Only met two other English people. However we had to change rooms as the distance from our room to reception was a long way in the heat of the day and the second room smelt rather badly of drains. The hotel runs a regular shuttle service into the village as it is situated rather too far to walk in the heat.
Great hotel but hit and miss service and mediocre food.
Beauty in the Desert
We had a very good time at San Pedro de Atacama, it is a jewel in the desert. The moonvalley is very impressive, so as the Geisers in the "Tatio", which is a must to be seen. The little city of San Pedro, has very nice Restaurants, where the best is " The ADOBE Restaurant" (not very expensive) Please try the beef with bluechesse sauce, and taste the chilean redwine. The rest of the city has lot of little shops with typical souveniers. Very interesting!! San Pedro is mostly visited by brasilian, french and german tourists
Hard to leave
This is an amazing hotel. So good in fact, that you will find it hard to forego the amazing facilities (pools, spas, saunas etc) to go and explore the amazing sights that San Pedro has to offer. If you decide to go exploring, the hotel offers free mountain bike hire and transfers into town. The staff were always friendly and food at the restaurant excellent. My only two minor complaints were that the location of the hotel in Google maps is out by about a kilometre (which resulted in us walking from town rather than getting a cab) and the hot water wasn't hot enough to enjoy the outdoor shower under the stars. All in all an amazing hotel.
Great Luxury Hotel
Great room and amenities, restaurant is average except for the bbq
great expirience
pretty nice hotel. great restaurant and beautiful place.
Excellent Hotel
Very happy with hotel and staff. The staff at reception were incredibly helpful! I only have one very minor complaint. They should use "Filtered water to make their coffee with". I think they must use tap water as the coffee was not very good. One other suggestion. I was very happy over all and highly recommend this hotel. One suggestion to the management. Some of their staff spoke English and some did not. The ones that do not speak English in some cases should get someone who does to help them. Everything else was fantastic and I would go back again. Eric and Marlaine Bennett
Beautiful and confortable desert-style hotel
The hotel is built in a beautiful desert style with adobe buildings. The rooms (studios) are confortable, especially the bathroom: there is an outside shower and it is very pleasing to take a shower heated by the sun (there is also an interior shower). The air conditioning is very efficient. There are many chanels on the television with many movies at any time. The restaurant serves a wonderful cooking. The breakfast is also wonderful. The pool area is nice: there are five swimming pools, heated from 21 to 40 celcius degrees.
Had issues with staff being unhelpful. things not working in our room - wifi, safe, lamps. The few times we ordered dinner from the restaurant the service was extremely slow, about 45 m for mains. We felt as English speaking guests that we were at a major disadvantage as most staff had poor English and seemed to favour Spanish speakers
Five-star design in and out
Delighted with our stay at Kunza. Very, very tastefully decorated inside and perfectly landscaped outside. Service excellent. Splendid resort.
Outstanding hotel.Located outside of town but hotel had a shuttle to/from town. A little confusiion on check-in as they couldn't find our reservaion so we had to wait quite a while for them to look and finally phone their head office to confirm. Housekeeping woke us up one evening (10:30 pm) as she wanted to check if our room was ok - normally that would'n't have been a problem but we had a tour @ 4am next day so decided to head to bed early. Otherwise it was a beautiful accommodations.
Kunza a delight
I found the kunza to be a delightful haven to return to at the end of the day sightseeing. It was lovely to come back and swim in one of the four pools they had on offer. The outside shower option in your own private courtyard off your private bathroom was also very enjoyable.
Dissappointed!!!!
This place has great potential. The property itself is very impressive but thats about where the compliments end. We were greeted at reception by only Spanish speaking staff but managed to get by and proceeded to take the 410 steps to our room. [ The plus here was that we were close to the pool ] Our dinner in their restaurant was just awful, their Ceasar salad was old dry lettuce leaves mixed with a broken up bread roll and chunks of semi cooked chicken. The rest of the meal was hardly edible and at breakfast the selection was also very poor. [ We ate in San Pedro for all our meals after that ] In talking with one of the managers he vented his frustration with the owners not being "hands on" and very cost concious & described the place as a Prosche trying to pull a semi trailer. There is also a noticble lack of staff and every request seemed to take forever to fulfil, even 20 mins for a drink in the lounge. Its just a pity this place doesn't have a good chef and General Manger that has the resourses to deliver on its " Resort" tiltle.
Good value 5-star
If you want to experience one of the really top-notch gorgeous looking hotel resorts in San Pedro de Atacama, the Kunza is your best bet. It has everything all the other much more expensive hotels offer, and it will cost you less. Thoroughly recommend it.
Perfect Oasis in San pedro de Atacama
The hotel is 2 km away from the City Center of San Pedro de Atacama. Rooms are modern and clean. Staff is professional. Good restaurant The only thing negative about the hotel is the price of their tours. Even if they look more exclusives, they were 2 times more expensive than the one booked outside.
Kunza Hotel the best of the best
This is a fantastic hotel to stay at. I enjoyed it so much. I will return here again. I was sad to leave.
Our San Pedro
We loved the Kunza rooms spread in extensive beautiful grounds outside town reachable by the frequent hotel transfer or by renting a bike. Well kept gardens , beautiful spa and pools Large rooms , bathrooms with extra outdoor shower. Staff is very helpful and kind especially of the Excursions office , unfortunately not to be compared with the restaurant or bar staff which shows un professional and un motivated making the service poor and slow reason to decide eating in the many restaurants available in town. You will most probably struggle with working using a very unstable and weak wifi connection which is only available in the lobby restaurant area. same goes for the cabled internet in the rooms. Our A/C as well in other rooms did not work at all , same for the Tv by reporting the above to the Kunza manager on duty nothing was done as far as reviewing the final bill and expenses upon check out ... I would rate thie Kunza a good 4 stars because the lack of service , quality of food etc. Long is the way to the 5Th star there for price should be adjusted.

Beautiful luxurious hotel in dusty and hectic San Pedro. You will be a mile away from the touts and dust of the main drag. The free shuttle is a blessing ! The room and common areas are beautiful. If you can afford the price go for it !
